No use or redistribution in exchange for money please. If you got this scenery on a CD-ROM of scenery, you got ripped off. Demand your money back. The guy who sold this to you is a thief. This is a gift to the flight sim world as a thank you for all the freeware I have downloaded over the years.

CONGRATULATIONS MISTY MOORINGS STOCKHOLDER!!!

Thanks to the unusually large returns the company's investments have seen, we have made some capital investment in two new companies. 1) The Misty Lumber Company and 2) the Misty Moorings Railroad. Actually, we didn't buy a railroad, but the lumber cars can be written off if they are listed as being owned by a separate company. Don't ask, it's a tax dodge! You are now a shareholder in our little enterprise. Please find enclosed your stock certificate for out fictious company. Since the stock is of no real value, don't expect a dividend check :P.

Project History
------------------------------------

This project started off as a Gold Mine tribute to the Old Glacier Pilot Bob Reeves. He became famous for his airlift services in his old Fairchild. He delivered equipment so effectively to the Mining Industry that he was seen as the man personally responsible for opening Alaska's Gold Mines. Before Bob's innovative flying, it was about impossible to get equipment to the mines. With his skill and bravery, Bob landed on Glaciers throughout Alaska with loads that were much to heavy for his plane. He would wrap diesel engines in matresses and with the help of a parachute, he would push them out into the snow.

One of Bob's Mines was the Ruff-N-Tuff mine near Valdez. I wanted to create a mine in the Misty Fjords area, so I created Ruff-N-Tuff #2.

Then, I didn't think a mine would be a good reason to release scenery, so I created another piece of "industrial" real estate. The Misty Lumber Company is a fictional lumber plant south of Ketchikan. There is railroad spur that actually receives it's rail cars from barges at the water's edge, and lumber yard, and of course the saw mill itself.

The plant operates 24 hours a day, and occasionally they have breakdowns and need parts. They also manufacture items used in construction throughout Alaska. Home Depot has a contract with the mill.

If you have Lago's FSE, there are some additional items for the plant. In addition to sounds, there are vehicles in the lot, a helipad, a Water tower, the smokestack, and then there is Vern. Just drop the .FSE file in the FSE\DATA directory.

Vern is the forklift operator. He likes to drive the forklift around the lumberyard. He thinks it makes him look busy and he can avoid doing any real labor. Trouble is, the lumber yard isn't very big, so he just drives around.

INSTALLATION
------------

Unzip the file into your \FS9\ADDON SCENERY folder, this creates a new folder titled "Alaskan Industrial A" Start flight simulator and choose SETTINGS then choose SCENERY LIBRARY. Click the ADD AREA button on the right. Browse to the Alaskan Industrial A folder, double-click it, and then clik OK at the bottom of the screen. Restart FS9 and you are ready to go.

I have included pieces of the Ketchikan sectional with red arrows showing where this scenery is located. I have also included flights that you can place in your \FS9\FLIGHTS\MYFLYTS\ folder. This will give you start-up locations incase you have trouble finding them with the sectional.
